The continuous level measurement of the MBA300 is based on radar pulses, which are reflected by the bulk material. This method is used mainly in the food and construction industries, in plastic processing and in steel production. Due to the radar technology, this type of level measurement is completely without contact with the bulk material.
Background
The MBA300 allows a contactless level measurement with the aid of microwave pulses emitted by a combined transmitting/receiving antenna onto the surface of the product from where it is reflected. The time between transmission and reception of the signals is proportional to the filling level in the container. A special time-stretching procedure ensures reliable and accurate signal evaluation of the extremely short operating times.
The radar measurement is independent of the dust load in silos or other containers. In particularly difficult measuring environments, a flushing air unit can be optionally connected, which ensures a “free view” of the radar antenna.
Precise, non-contact measurement
Easy assembly with mounting bracket; settings made on the device without a PC
Maintenance-free device design
